INTERNET
         INTERNET facility is available in the library to access e-books and e-journals, which are useful to research scholars to enhance their quality of research activities.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
         Library is subscribing more than 124 national and international journals and magazines.Necessary steps have been taken to subscribe more number of journals and magazines to enhance the research activities.

DIGITIZATION OF THESES AND QUESTION PAPERS
         Digitization of theses and dissertation is done regularly. Digitized information and e-delivery services are available through LAN.

AUTOMATION OF LIBRARY
         Periyar University Library is fully computerized using an inte -grated multi-user library management system. Bibliographic records of books periodicals, CDs/DVDs, Theses and Reports are available in library database and are accessible through Library OPAC.

BAR-CODED CIRCULATION SYSTEM
         The Library uses Bar-Code technology system for circulation of books (Issue/Return/Renewal) since July 2006 . RF-ID technology is available for error free transactions based on security.


EBSCO FULL text Online Database
         Business Source Premier Database of EBSCO is subscribed by University Library from April 2010 onwards. It is the largest full text business database available in the World. It has more than 2,150 full text journals. This database is the most popular one in the country and is used in almost all Management, Commerce departments

Saturday and Sunday:10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.

       Circulation counter shall be closed at 6.00P.M. on all weekdays and 15 minutes before the closing of the Library on Saturday and Sunday.
