Further, as per report No. F9-1/98 (CPP-I) dated 16.12.1998 issued under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, Periyar University has been included in the list of all universities and has been granted 12B qualification of the University Grants Commission. It is qualified to conduct all the courses with the help of Govt. Moreover, the admission eligibility and syllabus of the courses conducted by the university are being developed with the help of relevant experts and approved by the governing body of the university.
