Profile
Post Graduate Extension Centre of this University started functioning from the academic year 2012-13 with the approval of the Govt. of Tamilnadu (G.O No. 76; Dated 25-05-2012) and is located at Dharmapuri. It was established with three departments initially and five more department were added successively during 2015 and 2016. In consonance with its mission statement “Arival Vilaiyum Ulagu” it is committed to promote an intellectual climate through artistic creation, critical mediation and innovative ideation. The centre inculcates in bridging a gap of holistic integrated education to the young minds. The only motive of the Government of Tamil Nadu and Periyar University to start a PG Extension Centre in Dharmapuri is to reach the unreached in every corner and in outskirts of Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts. It plays a vital role in providing the completeness of wisdom and knowledge, by educating and enriching the students from highly rural areas. It always excels with the sense of rendering standard education for a fulfilled development of this area.
