Periyar University Constituent College of Arts and Science, Sendamangalam. It is the sixth Constituent College of Periyar University, Salem. It was started by the Government of Tamilnadu by G.O. (Perm.) No: 198, in 2017 and affiliated on 24.07.2017. Sendamangalam Taluk is educationally Most Backward and partly has Tribe folks area. Hence, the Government put forth the step to develop this area in Education. The College is located near Belukuruchi Kanavai, Vettukadu Post, Sendamangalam Taluk. It has 8.40 acres of land, which is situated around a beautiful landscape, foothills of Kolli Hills. The new building with it’s an excellent infrastructure the college began to spread its wings of progress with the introduction of Co-Education and all the degree courses have been semesterised.
The college began its academics in the year 2017, with five Under Graduate Courses such as B.A. Tamil, B.A. English, B.Com, B.Sc. Mathematics and B.Sc. Botany. Further, in 2020 two Post Graduate Courses M.A. Tamil and M.Com. were started. At present a total number of 550 students are studying in the above courses.

Our dream is to make the College an institution of excellence at the National level by imparting quality education of Global Standards. To make the students academically skilled, socially committed, ethically strong, spiritually involved and culturally rich citizens to contribute to the holistic development of one self and the society.
MISSION
Trained students are to become role models in academic arena by strengthening infrastructure, upgrading curriculum, developing faculty, augmenting extension services and imparting quality education through an enlightened management and skilled faculty who ensure knowledge transfer, instill research aptitude and infuse ethical and cultural values to transform students into disciplined citizens in order to improve the quality of life.

Chemistry Laboratory, students directly experience laboratory chemicals and their properties, chemical reaction, chemical laboratory apparatus and chemical laboratory instruments. It may enhance students to understand the scientific facts and concepts. Students will learn some important experimental techniques that are necessary for them to become an effective chemist.
A computer laboratory is equipped with 10 computers with internet connectivity.
The Library was established in 2017. The aspiration of the library is to provide the best information resources to all kinds of its users. The library is following the open access system and provides its service to meet the requirements of both UG and PG Students and Staff members of the college. It has the finest collections of 3500 Text and Reference books at various disciplines. The library subscribes 5 Journals, 3 Magazines and 4 leading Tamil and English Newspapers to update the knowledge of academic fraternity.
The Department of Physical Education encourages the students to participate in District and National level Sports and Games. Also, they do Fitness activities. Every year the students are actively participating in the University Intercollegiate Sports and Games.
