Indoor Games and Sports:

During the assessment period, the Indoor Stadium was successfully constructed with the elevation of 9085 m² with the support of UGC grants. The Indoor Stadium of Periyar University is composed of Shuttle court for single and doubles, Volleyball court, Table Tennis (2 Boards), tackwondo, Kabaddi. Powerlifting platform, 4 Stations GYM, Treadmill, Tumbles (with Different Weights) and other accessories. These facilities provided at free of cost for the faculty members and student communities to maintain the sound health.

Outdoor Games and Sports:

The Outdoor stadium facilities with an area of 34,700 m² for football, Cricket, Kho—Kho and Synthetic Athletic Track. In addition to that two basketball courts (2000 sqmts), two Ball badminton courts (2000 sqmts), two kabaddi courts (1980 m² and two volleyball courts (1980 m²) are available. The All India South Zone Level Kabaddi, volleyball, football, basketball, Handball tournaments are regularly conducted by Periyar University. Students are advised to utilize complex by allocating an hour in a week for each department to ensure physical facilities of sports complex to train themselves are specific sports and games to compete themselves at state, national and International level. Both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are effectively utilized for intensive training by Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT).
