The Department of Library and Information Science was established in 2011.The Department has full-fledged, dedicated and committed team of faculties with rich research experience. The Syllabus coverage in the Department is on par with the international standards. The multimedia technology is used in regular classes. The programmes offered by the Department are M.Lib.I.Sc two year CBCS programme, M.Phil.in Library and Information Science and PhD Research programme. All the passed out students got well placed in leading Academic institution and research institutions with decent pay and perks.

The students undergo an internship for 21 days in a National prestigious institution (IIT/IIM) during the summer vacation of the first year i.e. end of the second semester.
